Jocelyn Chen Wise

Jocelyn was born and raised in New Jersey but has called Atlanta home since 2010. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and Master’s in Social Work and Master’s in Public Health from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). It was during graduate school that Jocelyn discovered her love for geriatrics. She was a Geriatric Social Work Education Consortium (GSWEC) Scholar and recipient of a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Fellowship for her work with older adults. Her passion for geriatrics led her to work with the Emory Geriatric Psychiatry outpatient clinic where she provided individual and group therapy to patients and their family members from 2010-2026. During that time, she also collaborated with the Emory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the Emory Movement Disorders Program in their patient/family education and support groups. At Pate & Culp, Jocelyn supports dementia caregivers in finding clarity, confidence, and balance during an often overwhelming season of life. Her coaching is practical, compassionate, and strengths-based—helping caregivers move out of survival mode and into a more sustainable routines that honor both their loved one’s needs and their own. She lives in Decatur with her husband, two kids, and their beloved cat, Tilly. In her free time, she enjoys movies, art, and food of all kinds.
